More Than Just a Promotion: Building an Immersive Event Marketing Plan
August 31, 2026
Are your event marketing ideas not making the impact you thought they would?
Many brands make the mistake of trusting agencies that oversimplify event marketing down to stylish flyers or a single registration page. In reality, event marketing requires an ongoing strategy that delivers strong engagement through multiple channels.
At Fierce, our 360 approach spans before, during, and after the event to ensure that your event gets the coverage it needs. Through targeted multi-channel messaging, we invite your audience into your world and make it hard to leave.
If you’re just looking for someone to print pamphlets, you’re wasting money and missing out on your event’s full potential.
When you team up with Fierce, we take your event to the next level.
Let’s discuss all the possibilities that come with trusting Fierce with your event marketing plan.
The Fierce Event Marketing Framework
Every successful event is rooted in strategy. While each event requires its own unique approach, we follow a structured process to create all of our event marketing strategies.
Phase 1: Branding & Theme
Before we ever promote your event, we start with establishing your event’s identity. Together, we decide on a visual tone and messaging direction that aligns with your business’s branding and specific event goals.
With that decided, we start the creative process. We create your event’s logo, messaging, and a fully branded registration site that immerses your audience as soon as they land.
Phase 2: Social & Influencer Outreach
Now that we have your look, it’s time to start spreading the word.
We spread fresh concepts and designs through all of your digital platforms to build community and drive organic hype. Through our planned content calendar, we know exactly what to say to your audience and when to say it. To further expand your reach, we leverage local influencer networks to establish credibility and drive interest in new demographics.
Phase 3: Web Updates
Your event’s site shouldn’t stay static.
We continuously keep your website updated with fresh content and real-time announcements throughout the marketing plan. We handle all the necessary website edits and can even build new landing pages when necessary.
Phase 4: Email & Physical Collateral
Multi-channel reach is key to our messaging strategy.
We send targeted emails to potential leads that are likely to attend your event, driving quality traffic to your website.
We also utilize physical collateral, such as t-shirts, billboards, and much more to bring your event to life! This is especially the case for experiential marketing events, such as seminars or pop-ups, where we create branded collateral to create deeper immersion with attendees.
Phase 5: Event Day
The day of your event is when it all comes together. All of those social posts and emails show up as attendees ready to experience everything that your event has to offer.
On event day, we engage with attendees on site and capture new media to reuse for future content. We share live updates on your social accounts to keep attendees updated and create interest in non-attendees.
Phase 6: Post-Event
Your event strategy should never end on event day.
To create the best experience for future events, we send attendees a custom survey, often with an incentive to complete, to get direct insight on what went well and how you can improve.
From strategic planning to execution and analysis, our multi-channel approach makes an impact through every phase of your event marketing plan.
Case Study: NHPC’25
Our event marketing plan with Building Performance Agency (BPA) shows how our multi-channel 360 approach drives real marketing results.
Every year, BPA hosts their National Home Performance Conference & Trade Show (NHPC) to unite the country’s top home performance workers under one roof. As an extension of BPA’s marketing team, we implement our event marketing solutions to draw new attendees to the event every year.
Let’s take a look at last year’s conference, NHPC’25, to examine how collaboration with Fierce really looks.

As always, we started by developing the branding and theme. With collaboration from BPA, we decided on a look for the event that created hype for the event’s location: New Orleans.
From there, we were ready to start building our community. Throughout the year, we spread news of NHPC’25 throughout multiple platforms. We paired quality social content with consistent email marketing to generate qualified leads in every channel.
We also created physical collateral for the event, including a New Orleans themed photo station with a custom frame cutout that was a hit on event day. Attendees would take a photo and post online, creating consumer generated content that fed our social media traffic.
The result? NHPC’25 was the largest conference in the company’s history, with over 2,800 attendees from all 50 states. Not only did we take the conference to new heights, we also gathered data from the event that’s fueling our strategy for next year’s event.
