Preparing TrueNorth for BuildPoint 2025, and Succeeding

We love partnering with businesses that are passionate about what they do, and TrueNorth fits that bill. As TrueNorth was gearing up for a major construction and building conference, they needed to pull in an experienced marketing team to help them create a cohesive and impactful presence.

Our mission was to create the tools TrueNorth needed to not only present their expertise, but also form meaningful connections with attendees. We collaborated closely with their team to develop a portfolio of materials designed to inform, engage and leave a lasting impression.

The centerpiece of their conference presence was a dynamic PowerPoint presentation, and it clearly resonated with the audience. Guests rated TrueNorth’s presentation an impressive 3.78 out of 4, making it the highest-ranking presentation at the entire event. We worked diligently to translate TrueNorth’s key messages and project highlights into visually compelling slides, ensuring their audience remained engaged and easily grasped their value proposition.

Beyond the winning presentation, we wanted to create tangible reminders of the TrueNorth brand. We designed a range of branded materials, including:

  • Eye-Catching Stickers: These served as a fun and portable way for attendees to show their connection with TrueNorth, applied to an enticing AirPod giveaway.
  • Professional Lanyards: Practical and branded, these lanyards ensured TrueNorth stood out throughout the conference.
  • Informative Guidebook: This booklet provided a detailed overview of TrueNorth’s offerings, allowing attendees to delve deeper into their solutions.

These branded elements contributed to TrueNorth’s visibility and approachability, as evidenced by the fact that their team met with an impressive 34 brands over the three-day event.

The most innovative element was the value takeaway card. As TrueNorth delivered their high-ranking presentation, attendees could actively engage by filling out the card to see how their own values and needs aligned with TrueNorth’s core principles. This interactive approach not only kept the audience engaged but also proved to be a powerful lead generation tool. As a result of these interactions, TrueNorth is currently in talks with 3-4 promising businesses and is actively bidding on 6 projects.

The ultimate goal for TrueNorth at the conference was to secure at least one new project. We’re thrilled that they have already won two projects directly stemming from the connections made at the event! This achievement underscores the effectiveness of their conference strategy and the impact of the materials we developed together.

This project was about more than just designing pretty things. It was about understanding TrueNorth’s goals for the conference and crafting a cohesive brand experience that would resonate with their target audience and drive tangible results. By providing them with a top-rated presentation and engaging takeaway materials, we empowered their team to not only make meaningful connections but to convert those connections into real business wins.
