Over the past few years, we’ve partnered with the St. Charles County Department of Public Health to bring the Recovery SCC campaign to life. This campaign delivers substance use disorder resources, first hand-stories to change the conversation and stigma that comes with being or knowing a person with a substance use disorder, and the hope of recovery to our community.
Most recently, Naloxone, a drug that reduces the effects of an overdose, has been made available over the counter in Missouri. Our team developed a series of collateral to share details about overdoses and how to administer Naloxone. The Recovery SCC team will distribute these at community events and inside the bags that Naloxone comes in. Training on how to administer naloxone is becoming a part of CPR training.
