Posting With Value

When we create content to be shared on social media, we want to make sure it reaches the right audience, at the right time, with the right message. The baseline for achieving that is providing value with each and every post.

A few weeks ago, I shared a few notes about how posting consistently is a great way to boost reach on social media, but value will build upon that. Before running with a concept, here are a few questions we ask ourselves:

  • Is this post going to reach our ideal audience?
  • Is this content relevant to our followers and potential followers?
  • Does this post align with our goals overall?
  • Is there value for our audience? Specifically, are they going to learn something, get enjoyment and even want to see more?

If the answer to any of these questions is no, it’s worth reconsidering the post or coming up with creative ways to make it valuable.

Whether we’re posting on our own social channels or posting on behalf of a client, this quick quality check makes sure our digital presence stays fresh and attracts the audience we want to speak to.
